For the first four weeks of term 3 2024 I had the pleasure of hosting Bayu Prihantoro at my school, Brunswick North West Primary, through VILTA’s Guru Bantu Program.
While with us Bayu
Helped me prepare Indonesian language resources
Assisted students during Indonesian language classes
Helped to plan organise and run special events for Indonesian Independence day
Enriched my knowledge of Indonesian language and culture
Completed graphic design work for posters promoting language learning
Contributed to designs for a combined Indonesian and Kulin nations mural.
In essence, during his short stay with us, through his work with myself, my students and the greater school community, Bayu greatly enhanced the quality and visibility of the Indonesian Language program at Brunswick North West Primary School.
