Malam Ngobrol Term 1 - 2018

VILTA is working together with PPIA/IKAN/AIYA providing an opportunity for Indonesian teachers to maintain their language skills - conversations with native speakers and language games in a relaxed atmosphere while enjoying Indonesian dishes. This activity is held once in each Term.

Teachers Immersion Day Ballarat

VILTA is working together with Catholic Education Ballarat to run this program. 
The goal is to provide members in and around Ballarat area an opportunity to use their language skills with native speakers through a variety of practical activities and language/cultural games

Days: Friday night and Saturday
Dates: 23 - 24 March 2018

Cost: Free (for VILTA members only)

Indonesian Model United Nations Conference

VILTA is supporting this event which is organised by DET and United Nations Association of Australia (Victorian Division). 

We kindly ask VCE teachers to encourage their year 12 students or students who are doing Unit 3 and 4 in 2018 to take part in this event. It is a model of UN conference. The procedure will be similar to the UN conference but the language used is Indonesian. This platform provides VCE students to apply what they have learnt throughout the years and  'show off' their language skills in a formal setting.

Indonesian Independence Day Scholarship

This activity provides Year 11 and 12 students an opportunity to 'show off' their language skills - both written and oral. The winners (6 students an 2 teachers) will be attending the Indonesian Independence Day Ceremony at the Indonesian Embassy in Canberra.

VCE Oral Practice

This activity will assist Year 12 Indonesian students in their preparation for their oral examination. The set-up will mimic the real oral examination.

Cost: $20 per student (when teacher is NOT able to assist on the day)
         $10 per student (when teacher is ABLE to assist on the day)

Educational Film Screenings

VILTA is working together with BioEdu - part of Bioskop Australia - providing an opportunity for Indonesian teachers and their students to see current Indonesian films (or other films on request) in Melbourne and regional venues.
